Set Design & Stage Design

All set and stage concepts are designed in house by our team of Media designers. The designs are created based on research carried out on each client and an understanding of the event and its objectives. Depending on the nature of the event, we will always try and find a balance between a stage/set design that is striking whilst still retaining our clients corporate identity.

All designs are modular, so that they can be used in different ways and to create a different visual impact over a series of events or for an awards immediately following a conference.

At the outset of our involvement with any clients event, one of the first elements that needs to be agreed are the creative concepts. Many of our clients find it reassuring that they do not need to come up with creative solutions themselves.

As part of the service we offer to all clients, irrespective of budget, is a creative consultation to identify the theme of the event, visual representation and the media platform used to communicate with the audience.

All our sets are made from as much recyclable materials as possible, helping to reduce our requirements for raw materials, although these are also sourced from suppliers providing renewable products, and is a benefit we are able to pass on to our clients.

All sets are manufactured in-house at Comtec Presentations custom build workshop and storage areas. We carry a range of stock sets for smaller budget events and have the facilities to manufacture large scale and bespoke sets.

Being aware of our social responsibilities we carry a range of electronically controlled lecterns allowing equality to all speakers, as well as health and safety standard ramps, hand rails and any other equipment that may be needed.

To ensure our clients know exactly how their event will be laid out, at the proposal stage a full set of CADs are drawn up establishing the lay out. This eliminates any confusion from the outset.

Once the business is awarded any changes to the layout (and invariably there are!) the CAD’s will be revised and issued to all relevant event stakeholders for sign off.

Our technical department are specialised in using WYSIWYG, a Lighting Modeling Programme which enables set designs to be lit within the programme as it would be on the event it's self.

This allows the lighting design to be accurate and complete prior to the event, saving time and budget.
